What To Expect
We understand this is a very difficult time for your family so we would like to provide you with some additional information about this process and what to expect the day of the appointment.
We will review your pet’s records and determine if it would be in their best interest to give anti-anxiety medications before their appointment. If we believe these medications to be necessary, we will contact you to pick them up or call them into a pharmacy. This is based on each individual’s stress, pain and anxiety level and will help ensure the trip to our facility and transition into our comfort room will be as stress-free as possible. Please feel free to bring any items that may make your pet more comfortable; such as favorite food, bedding, or toys.
When You Arrive
Upon arrival, a team member will escort you into our comfort room. We use calming lights, sounds, and smells to help make this room as peaceful and relaxing for you and your pet as possible.
The client care team will go over a consent form and any additional after-care questions you may have. We understand that going over payment and aftercare options during your appointment can cause extra stress. To avoid this you can review cremation options and pre-pay for services beforehand. Please call or email us before your appointment if you would like to pre-pay.
Once in our comfort room, your pet will be given an injectable sedative to further help them relax. The technician will then provide you with a doorbell and step out of the room to give your family a moment alone. Pressing this doorbell will alert your doctor that you are ready for the final steps.

Saying Goodbye
After pressing the doorbell, the veterinarian will enter the room to administer the final medications. A fast acting euthanasia solution will be used that travels to the brain and heart to stop their function – rest assured that your pet will not be aware that this is happening and will not feel any pain or stress. After the veterinarian has confirmed that your pet has passed away, you may choose to leave immediately or stay with your pet for your final goodbye. Take all the time you need during this process. Once you have left our team will prepare for after-care services.
